J. P. Flores was born on August 16 1984. From the time he was born, he was exposed to many different types of music. His older brothers listened to rap and Hip-hop while his older sister would blast Cindy Lauper and Madonna. In 1987, His family moved to Arizona, and J.P. got his first taste of Heavy Metal. Like Erick Ledesma, J.P. Flores was turned on to the metal scene by Metallica’s Black album. Kirk Hammet’s Lead guitar work completely amazed him and inspired him to play guitar. After he had mastered every solo on that album, he moved on to Heavier bands Like Megadeth and Pantera. After listening to Megadeth’s Lead guitarist, Marty Friedman, His style completely changed. After several Failed attempts at starting a band, J.P. finally met up with guitarist Jared Riley at their school. Instantly impressed by Jared’s aggressive guitar style, They Started Rebirth. At their first practice they worked on what would be the first song, which would later be known as “Fallen Angels”. Rebirth remained a duo for quite a while they tried unsuccessfully to find other members who could play well, and had the right personality to join the band. They finally picked up Drummer Erick Ledesma and Bassist Rory Larsen and with them, a heavier presence. After Playing several Shows, J.P. Met the local band Sectas at a party that both bands had been booked at. The Sectas Guitarist, Christian Lee, Amazed him. J.P. Began studying his style, feeling that he had to be the best Lead Guitarist on the Planet. J.P. Began refining his style mixing all the elements from his past and new elements to form his own style that was uniquely his. Though J.P.’s Style is still evolving, He still holds true to his Heavy Metal Roots, Creating Incredible music with Rebirth and striving to become The Greatest Lead Guitarist In the world.
