Doug Stapp at 25 years old has been playing 13 years. This Texas based instrumental guitarist is self taught and draws his influences from the likes of Paul Gilbert, Edward Van Halen, George Lynch, Steve Vai and Reb Beach to name a few, throws them all in a mixing pot and makes his own roller coaster of a ride instrumental rock. Harder Beat says "Doug Stapp was amazing. He might be one of the better unknown guitar players I’ve seen in awhile".

"Static was recorded in the true spirit of do-it-yourself. The drum and bass parts were recorded on a 24 track at our rehearsal studio. We then 2 tracked everything and dumped it down to my 16 track. All of the guitars and keyboards were recorded at my home......."
