Recently I was contacted by Rich Lasner who was the designer, artist relations and marketing person at Hoshino /Ibanez from 1984 through 1989. He was involved first hand with the development of many of the biggest designs to come from Ibanez and one of the leading powers in bringing Ibanez to the forefront of guitar design and technology. Working with Artists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore, Paul Gilbert and Joey Tafolla to name a few and various models including the Jem and Universes, VM, JS, PGM, RG, Saber and Maxxas.
Rich has very kindly delved into his memoirs and agreed to share his thoughts and stories with us here at the Ibanez Register.
