Holoflash

Serial No. F0034417 YEAR: N/A OWNER: Rodney Reams

Details & History

The headstock has been done to match the body, it is no longer a flat black.
And it no longer has the EMG 81, the guy replaced it with an Evolution.

"In the late eighties, Kramer finished some custom Pacers (and some other random high end customs) in a finish called "Holoflash". When Kramer went under, the finish vanished, and the number of these holoflash guitars dwindled.  Believe it or not, some of the Pacers with this finish can be found on ebay, and sometimes fetch up to $1500-1800! It's definitely one of a kind, and you won't see any more like it.  However, it is not a factory finish - the guitar used to be matte black.  They were only made available for sale in the European and Asian markets.  They also made a model with two humbuckers and a seven string model.  It's not really a limited edition model, it was just a regular production model, with a special name - LACSD (LA Custom Shop Designed.)  It wasn't made in the USA, but in the Fuji Gakken plant in Japan".

Thanks to Kirk Slossar for the historic info!

The finish is remarkable, and still photos don't do it justice. You really have to see it to get the full impact as the colors shift perfectly into each color of the spectrum. The effect is similar to holograph baseball & football cards.
