I bought second hand but it is as new.
I have been searching for hours to find out which type of USA custom it is.
behind the back plates is no paint so it is hand paint I think
the volume knob is further away from the p.u. then other usrg's
and it has DiMarzio pots.

I have been trying to find out information about an Ibanez I bought years ago. My search has been extremely difficult. I will try to send some pictures as soon as I fix my computer. I bought the guitar new around 1990. The serial number is F033752. It has a four bolt neck with a plate indicating it being made at the Case Ave. Custom Shop. The head stock logo is white and the USA Custom is in small letters. The neck is bound and has the shark tooth inlays. One bridge humbucker and two single coils, mid and neck. The neck is very thin compared to my Strat. one piece maple with separate headstock and rosewood finger board? One volume knob close to the pickup, one tone and a 5 position toggle. No pick guard. The Base paint is Orange and the graphic kind of looks like a profile of a skull and lighting? I bought this at a Mom and Pop shop in San Diego. It listed around $1500, I paid $700 in 1990. I am the original owner as far as I know, or at least it was sold to me as new. I am trying to find out the history behind the guitar. I.E. model, wood , neck type, pick up type. Could this pre a pre-production?
