Details & History

I bought this guitar in 1991. I sold it to a friend in 1992. I bought it back this weekend (03/23/02).  The UV is back in my life. It is in incredible condition; just a few small scratches around the jack and some wear on the heel plate. The case has a few scrapes on it but the lock still has the plastic pin through it like when you buy it. I'm happy to have it back.

Details & History

1990 Ibanez Universe UV7PWH, second rarest of the Universe model. This guitar is extremely valuable, low serial number 000068 of the first ever made. Has a small crack in the paint (not the wood!) and two small dings, otherwise in A+++ shape. Everything is 100% original. Comes with original pink lined case. Only 872 were ever made, color vintage white. The guitar was played by Doug Stapp (www.dougstapp.com) on the album "Static" and also featured in three instructional columns by Doug at chopsfromhell.com

{I also received this e-mail from Doug himself!! Ed!}

Hi There! The Seller forwarded me your E-mail. This was my main guitar for

years and I just decided to part with it! Put up all of the pics you want

from it. If you can just add it was used by Doug Stapp (www.dougstapp.com) on

the CD Static and used by Doug on three columns at ChopsfromHell.com .

 That's all I ask!

{Always happy to oblige Doug. You can also see the link to Doug's fantastic site
 on the links page under bands and artists. Ed!}

Details & History

Here's the guitar you've been waiting for! This very rare Ibanez Universe seven string is in excellent condition and plays beautifully. Ibanez only released 872 of these and this is probably the rarest of the Universe series ever released. The guitar is in excellent condition. There is a few minor scratches near the jack and on the bottom of the body, but they are hardly noticeable. The neck is in excellent condition and shows no signs of wear. All of the original paperwork and hard-shell case come with the guitar when you purchase it! Whether you want to play heavy style Korn riffs or walking bass jazz lines, this is the guitar that can do it all.
