UV777GR |
| SN: N/A | YEAR: 199? | OWNER: Mike Cornwall |
Details & HistoryThis is an Ibanez 7 string UV777GR with all original parts. There were only 340 or so of these made. It has the Lo Pro Edge Tremolo, DiMarzio Blaze Pickups, maple fretboard with disappearing multi-color pyramid inlays, and a clean, straight neck with minimal fretwear for a ten old guitar. These are the only Universe guitars with a maple neck, much brighter tone than the current models. The neck is also thinner than any of the 7 string models currently available, this is how Steve Vai originally requested them to be made. Condition is excellent, see the pictures for specifics. I am happy to send any more photos you may need to verify condition. Includes the original pink lined Ibanez UV in excellent condition. |

Details & HistoryRarest of the U777 models. This one was part of the original run and it is in very good condition, with the exception of a nick near the input jack. Seven string guitars are very hot right now and this was one of the first popular seven string models made. Case not included, case options available. |

Details & History'91 UV777GR. Serial #: 914579. I traded a '94 RG470 that's equipped with fully loaded EMG's and a DYI custom marble paintjob for this green monster. It was previously owned by Glen C. of Jemsite (and a few others before it reached my hands). It has travelled from the east coast to its current home here in Los Angeles. I've received the guitar in very good condition, with no paint chips, other than a ding on the body (noticeable on image) and a few clearcoat scratches on the back. It was also missing a trussrod cover. It came with the original pink-lined hardshell case, even though it looks like it has been through hell and back. I sold the original Blaze humbuckers to Alden L. in Nova Scotia and custom ordered a black/green Evolution7 for the bridge and black/green Blaze bridge for the neck from DiMarzio. I've changed the yellow knobs and pink switch to black. I'm keeping the knobs and switch as they are a rarity to come by. Other details: Clearcoated signatures of (clockwise) S. Vai, J. Satriani, J. Petrucci, M.Keneally, and B.Sheenan {Fascinating history. Thanks Reg. Ed!} |
