Details & HistoryIbanez 1991 RBM1. Excellent condition and all stock. Jap built ("F" serial number) and has a beautful and flawless finish for it's age. Found it used in Ok. for $250 US.!! I don't think they new what they had. It come with a poor setup, but now after having a tech work on it, it play very fast, has a good tone, and is very versitile. |

Details & HistoryFirst, I want to make this clear. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. The reason for this is, I am willing to accept all reasonable trades regarding a Gibson Explorer/ Les Paul or a Jackson brand guitar. Now for the guitar. It is a 91 Reb Beach Voyager made in Japan. These are getting harder to find. There is nothing wrong electronically with the guitar. There are however some very small nicks in it (about 6 or 7)....nothing major....better then most 11 year old guitars. I probably couldn't even get them to come up in the pics.....speaking of which...my daughter chewed up my DL cord to my digital camera and had to resort to using my cheap web-cam to take the pics...so they aren't that great. The Voyagers were made in the same factory with the same people using the same materials as the Jem series. I just really like the looks of it better.....it's amazing how much difference that rear notch makes in its appearance. Pick-ups are in a H-S-S pattern....has a coil split for the bridge pickup....comes with tremolo arm and hardshell case. |

Details & History'91 Ibanez RBM1 Voyager w/Screamin' Demon humbucker
ü Mahogany body ü 1 piece Maple neck w/Rosewood fretboard (22 frets), thin and fast ü Seymour Duncan George Lynch Screamin' Demon bridge ü Single spaced SB1 humbuckers in the neck and middle positions ü 5 way pickup selector and coil-tap switch for bridge humbucker (allows you to split to a single coil) ü Lo Pro Edge locking tremolo system, arguably the best tremolo system made ü Patented all-access neck joint ü Professionally set up with gauge 10-46 strings, very fast action! This is a beautiful blue Reb Beach model Voyager with black hardware. This model is from the first production year, 1991. It was built in the Fujigen-Gaki Japanese shop where the high end Universe and Jem models are made (as indicated by the "F" in the serial number). After the first 2 years, Ibanez began producing the lesser quality Korean ones with gold hardware and colored headstocks. This guitar has been well cared for, but there are a few of the inevitable dings (1 on the bottom of the lower horn, 1 on the back of the guitar, and 1 in the recessed tremolo cavity) that are not visible when playing. The George Lynch Screamin' Demon pickup was designed in the Seymour Duncan custom shop. It has a nice open sound with rich harmonics and cuts through nicely. It also cleans up well when you roll off the volume. I'm including a padded gigbag, the original 1991 Ibanez catalog that features the guitar, and a full color magazine advertisement for the Voyager. The guitar will be professionally packed for shipping to ensure its safety. |

Details & HistoryA little about the history of the RBM by Jimi D The RBM Voyager models were introduced in 1991, I think... The first available models were the RBM1 and RBM2 - the RBM2 was the Koa "signature" guitar, and 150 of them were signed and numbered by Reb... no one's really sure but there's probably less than 500-600 RBM2s around, and some estimates are considerably smaller than that. In 1994, the original Japanese RBM models were replaced by the Korean RBM10 and RBM400 - the RBM10 was a true Korean RG guitar, and suffers from crap pickups and the TRS Trem... The RBM400 is basically an RBM1 with natural finish. They stopped making them after 1995. Reb is now with John Suhr Guitars. The dates here are tentative, but I can confirm them. Jimi D
