JS1. I bought it as an unfinished project from Rich Harris a few months ago. He had bought it from EBay after the previous owner had had it nickel plated. The plating wasn't exactly a success, there is a bad ripple in it and the routing was really poor, plus a bit of missing nickel. So, it had a few bits and bobs to sort, but I figured that I wouldn't mind using it as a player if it wasn't in tip top condition. Rich was very honest and straight down the line that this was not an A1 guitar. So, after a bit of work, it's all done and it is a world better than the JS100, although it weighs a ton with all that nickel on it. One of the coolest things about it is, it has a JS2 neck. Rich said a lot of the early JS1's he's seen have had JS2 necks that were re-stamped JS1, but this one still says JS2 on the neck joint. If I had any forethought, I would have taken a pic of this before I put the neck back on. I will do one day though. Serial# J001223.
