Details & History Hi, just thought I'd send a note to register my pride and joy, #159 Ibanez JS10 (Serial Number is 005157). I am player, not a collector, and it is my main guitar. I absolutely love the sound and feel of this guitar, it is incredible. I've owned a JS1000 and a pre-JS series 540R (1988) and they truly don't compare. Great website you have!

Details & History Here’s the Story!!! I am working in Australia at the moment and this is the first little gem I have picked up here! This is the fourth Chromeboy I have ever had and every time I sell or trade one it is supposed to be the last, but every 18 months or so, like a magpie I am drawn to the shiny curves.
There has been a raft of these on ebay recently usually in a place you have never heard of or by a Zero Feedback seller who registered the day before (being bid on by people who only registered 5 mins ago.) But you just can’t help yourself, you still have to have a look at the pics and read the description (sometimes ripped off this site!!) Occasionally you even e-mail the seller for some more info on the condition, the number and a few more pics. You then get the reply that it is in ‘AS NEW CONDITION’ and that they can’t get more pics for some reason and that the serial number is 837 (Out of 500 Errrrrrm!) or a serial that belongs to someone you know (or even yourself! Or they e-mail you info lifted from this site!), Oh and of course they’ll end the auction early just for you if you give them your Visa details (I’m sure you are all too familiar with the story!!) Well this was one of those times, a recent registered zero feedback seller, but they said they were in Sydney Australia (my Account still said I was in the UK at the time) with some story that their friend ( who was a Rock memorabilia fan – not a guitarist) had won it in some radio competition and it had never been played – just looked at by jealous friends.) Well my brother is at Uni in Sydney so I sent him to check it out (just as the auction was closing.) He called me to get down there and check it out as it was at a Husband & Wife run music shop. Well it turns out that that they were really nice people, and to cut a long story slightly shorter, their tale was true!! An Amazing Chromeboy, with super clean 10th Flight case, unused chrome strap, cable and even the original shipping box! (Sadly someone had kept a souvenir along the way as there was no cert.) Of course before I gave a thought to if I really needed it or what my poor long suffering wife would say, I bought it! I got the usual “Tut” when I came through the door with yet another guitar case and then a “Not another one of them – haven’t you got one already that you never play?” (I’m sure you all know that routine too!) She’s right really, I don’t need another Chromeboy to sit in a case unplayed – But I couldn’t have just left her there in that store could I????
The Specs are all stock with a tough chrome No pick scratches, no trem wear, no trem pitting, no chrome wear near the trem, no chrome wear under the Pick-ups, no hairs in the chrome, no wear around the V&T knobs or the 3-way, no buckle rash on the back, no wear near the strap buttons – I don’t think it has been on a strap, no Allen marks on the trem or top-lok – they are the factory strings
Even though I am more of a RG/Jem shape and neck player, I think the Chromeboy is probably the coolest of all the Ibanez Anniversary Models (the Jem 10 is the best to play but the JS10 is the coolest) not just because of the cool yet fallible finish and the love/hate/love relation ship you have with it (love the chrome, hate the chrome, love the chrome) but because it is the guitar most closely associated and identifiable to the artist, I mean how often have you seen Steve or John playing their 90 HAMs? Whereas Joe is never to far away from a bit of Silver Surfin’!!

Details & HistoryThis is my second JS10, #152. Having gotten #004, I was too afraid to play it due to its low number. So I got myself another Chromeboy to actually be able to play it. But this one came and I couldn't believe that the chrome was so clean. Everyone knows about the finish imperfections in the JS10's, but this one was by far the cleanest that I had ever seen. So I was reluctant to play this one as well. So now I have 2 Chromeboys, of which I am too afraid to play either! Anyhow, this one is really beautiful, the chrome is really clear and nearly perfect. This is how all the Chromeboys should have turned out! Eric

Details & HistoryIbanez JS10 Joe Satriani Chromeboy #004 Mint! Finally selling my beloved JS10! I waited so long for Ibanez to release them after the original JS2 problems. As a result, I absolutely babied the guitar and was too afraid to play it. That's why it's in excellent condition. The number is 004! The guitar is nearly unplayed, I put about an hour of playing into it and that's all. Otherwise, it was kept in its case, which I occasionally opened up to admire it and drool. I was way too afraid to play this guitar! The guitar is in the same shape as I got it from Ibanez. The finish is mint untouched. I suppose everybody knows about the finish imperfections many of these guitars were shipped with. Ibanez put a dab of silver paint on the headstock for reasons unknown to me; it seems as if they tried to mask a corner of the top tip foil overlay which was bent back and then put back into its place. Check out the picture. I am the original owner of the guitar, having bought it in the summer of 1998. Never gigged with it and barely played it. I am a non-smoker. Original accessories are included: the silver clipstrap, the silver guitar cord (still in its original wrap! Never used or opened!), the silver case in mint condition, a yellow Joe Satriani "Surfing With the Alien" pick and an autograph from Joe Satriani to myself (I wouldn't take the guitar out of the house for him to sign it!).
