Details & HistoryMy name is Kyle, and I just got my first Ibanez, the beautiful UV7BK (I Think its beautiful). I'm not sure which year it was produced because there is no serial number on it (I think its one of the newer models, perhaps a '96 due to the great condition that its in). There are a few small scratches on it and two dents, one right next to the strap peg and one on the top end of the back of the guitar. I have only had it for a few days, but from what I've played through my marshall 1/2 stack, it is killer. Great tone, great harmonics, great intonation, great everything. The neck is soooo smooth and easy to play on and I made the transition from 6-string guitars to 7-string Ibanez in less than a day! This thing is just perfect. Now I have to wait 2 months for my Ibanez JEM 7VWH. I'm sure that wont let me down!

Details & HistoryThis guitar is destined to be a classic (if it isn't one already). Steve Vai has been playing it for years. Ibanez hasn't changed the design in years. Now I understand why. The 5 pickup combinations are very different and largely useful (more useful, perhaps, if the single coil had a respectable output level). The neck and ebony fretboard are absolute perfection. When people see this guitar for the first time, they're usually amazed by the amount of detail on the vine inlay in the neck. Nice to look at, but I can't walk by it without picking it up and playing "For the Love of God."

Yup the be all end all of JEM guitars in my
opinion. I don't think they will ever make another that will beat this
one out. Alder body, EVO pickups, ebony fret board, maple neck, double
locking trem....it has it all. PLUS it is the preferred choice of Mr.
Vai himself!! :-) I got this one signed at the first G3 tour backstage
in Seattle Washington.
