Details & History
Hi peeps,
This is my ibanez Jem777vdy.My first Jem. I bought this guitar in the year 2000. And I’m so glad to have this one. I don’t have to say what kinds of stuff are on this guitar…I think you know it now. It plays so fine. The looks are so cool and give me a perfect sound. It’s a great guitar! And I also want to say that the Lo-Pro Edge is awsome. The next jem will be continue…

Details & HistoryA very clean example of the Vine Desert Yellow Jem. One of
the early runs this being the Vine inlay variant on the
Jem777dy from the original issues. DiMarzio
PAF-Pro humbuckers as standard. a wonderful guitar in so many ways and
really screams Steve Vai. |

Details & HistoryThis is truly a "Jem" for any collector. There are a couple of surface scratches on the wording at the head stock I imagine from changing the strings over the years, minor scratches on the back of the body and some wear on the plate that connects the neck to the body. Other than that its in mint condition. It plays, looks & sounds great. This has the rose-vine inlay through the entire neck and has the recessed (concaved) frets from 21 to 24 |

Details & History89 Ibanez JEM 777 Desert Yellow Vine. Designed by/for guitar hotshot Steve Vai. Florescent yellow body with a yellow vine inlay running up the neck and with pink knobs and pickups. The pink didn't show up well in the photo I'm afraid. Super slender oiled bolt-on neck, with Ibanez superior Floyd Rose, and DiMarzio PAF Pro pickups. Ibanez Floyd is so smooth, and the arm just snaps in, and with the nylon rings, you can put it where you want and it stays, but moves so effortlessly. The DiMarzio PAF Pro's are not my favourite pickups though, not enough bottom end. Steve wanted a guitar to be made out of some really light basswood, and everyone went "no, no, no". A year after the JEM was released, everyone made guitars out of basswood. Light and fast! Notice that the last four frets are scalloped out, and check out the "Monkey Grip"! |

Details & HistoryOne of the original Ibanez Steve Vai Jem guitars, serial number 890606 with nonoriginal hardshell case. This guitar is in the bright desert yellow (bright almost neon and unfaded condition) w/matching yellow vine inlay on fretboard. The guitar is all original with the exception that the previous owner had a boost installed, thus one small toggle switch on the pickguard (and a 9 volt battery under the pickguard). Original bright pink knobs and selector switch. The front of the guitar is easily a 9.5 plus out of 10 and the headstock 9.8 plus and the colour has not faded at all. There are 3 lacquer cracks (none are into the wood). Two are around the neck pocket and there is another on the edge of the lower horn. Great guitar strong colour and very clean example from this time period. This is not a new reissue but one of the early Jem's. Email me if you have other questions or need more pics. Buyer pays all shipping, packaging and insurance charges. Payment by money order or cashiers check. All zero and negative feedback bidders please email prior to bidding. |
