Details & History
My name is Stefan Fooij (ZENABI) and I live
in the Netherlands (Holland)
I've got my JEM when it really was just a
couple of months old.
So it's in my possession for almost 14 years
and it has been my
main guitar ever since. It still plays and
looks like a charm.
It's still in it's original state but has
new fretwire(not unlikely after
such a period). Serial nr is 871293
JEM ROCKS..... |

Details & HistoryThis is an all original 1987 Jem777SP still with its' original pink velvet lining case!!! In all these years I have never found a 14 yr old Jem in such an excellent condition. There is a barely noticeable 1" long scratch in the back of the body that keeps me from featuring this guitar as "mint". It features a basswood body, DiMarzio Evolution pickups, maple neck & fingerboard w/ tri-color disappearing pyramid inlays, Lo-Pro Edge tremolo system (set up to dive-bomb or raise pitch up to a perfect 5th - Vai's specs), and the "Monkey Grip" cutout made popular by this model guitar since its very first issue. This guitar is extremely comfortable to play and delivers very versatile tonal qualities. Please note the color has not faded a bit in 14 years, and there are NO DINGS or apparent fret wear. |

Details & HistoryOne of the original runs of the JEM. DiMarzio PAF-Pro Hums JEM single, disappearing multi coloured pyramids, Early '777' neck similar to the wizard. The 'Shocking Pink' was also produced with a vine inlayed rosewood neck, designated the JEM777VSK. The SK has become one of the most sort after of the early Jem's due to the 'very Vai' over the top look. Although they had a tendency to fade (in the box under the bed. Ed) The initial models of the JEM777 were the DY(desert yellow), SK(shocking pink) and LNG(lock ness green) the LNG being a limited run of 777 guitars, all signed and numbered by Steve Vai either on the headstock, trem cover plate or back of the body. |

Details & HistoryNice example from the first year the Ibanez JEM's landed on this earth. Note the custom green DiMarzio evolutions and not the PAF-Pro pick ups. Also note very little if any fading. |

Details & HistoryIbanez Jem Steve Vai Guitar first year made 1987 this guitar is all orig. and plays fine, everything works the guitar has light cracks around the heel which they all do the pink is faded and there are a lot of chips out of the paint the back plates are missing and the truss rod cover is missing this guitar has a great feel and vibe I have had Steve Vai models 1988 and 1989 and they had a baseball neck this guitar has the fast skinny neck like a old charvel for more pictures go to this website Note: Notice the 'notorious' fading of the shocking pink colour. Also note the lack of fading on the back of the guitar. |
