Details & History

Hi, my name's Lewis Ho and I got myself a JEM-JRWH a year ago (2004).

DETAILS & HISTORY

Made in Korea
Basswood Body
3-pc Maple JEM Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
IBZ Infinity's Humbuckers 1, 2 & S1(singlecoil)
ILT1 Trem (Like an Original Floyd Rose)

This is my JEM-JRWH (Serial #04014476). I knew I had to get a JEM after seeing a friend playing one during a gig. I couldn't afford a JEM555, much less a JEM7VWH. After finding out that my local guitar store sold these guitars, I quickly ordered one. Had to wait 2 months for a brand new one straight off Korea. It's such a beauty and the workmanship is very good. I haven't played a JEM7VWH yet so I can't compare the 2 together. The main differences of this JEM-JR compared to the other JEMs are the trem, monkey grip, pickguard, vine of life inlay, and pickups used. The trem is a copy of the Original Floyd Rose. It's quite useable really. It goes out of tune (±3 cents) but can be remedied by doing some flutter. The monkey grip is slightly different, as seen in the photo. A plain white pickguard instead of a pearloid one. No vine at all. Ibanez Infinity pickups instead of Evolutions. I did the 21st to 24th scallops myself.
All in all, I love to play this guitar everyday.

Lewis
