Details & HistoryNear Mint IBANEZ JEM 10th Anniversary Guitar. This is
a very RARE guitar to find since they were
only in production for 2 years (1996-1997). There are only 854 of these
guitars worldwide! This one is # 172. This guitar doesn't have any nicks,
chips, dings, or belt buckle rash whatsoever! There are some very, very
light scratches on the back and on the rear tremolo cover. The pickups
have the chrome fading on the right side of them as you can see on the
fourth picture down (circled in red). This is a common problem on All 10th
Anniversary JEMs. These are the only flaws on this guitar, but I wouldn't
even consider them flaws. This is the only reason keeping this guitar from
being MINT or DEAD MINT. Included with this guitar is the original silver
tweed 10th anniversary hardshell case with the plaque on the outside. This
guitar does NOT have a certificate of authenticity. When I purchased this
guitar from the original owner, he stated that it never came with it. That
was not a big issue to me. Just to own a 10th anniversary JEM was a
blessing. This is the BEST model Ibanez JEM ever produced! Period! It has
all of the best features you can't find in any other JEMs! This one is
definitely a collectors guitar. There is so much detail in this guitar,
it's gorgeous to look at! Here are the features: It features an engraved aluminium headstock and pickguard with the number stamped on it (not available on any other JEMs) The body, neck and headstock are bound (not available on any other JEMs) It has an ebony fingerboard with Abalone Pearl Inlays (not pearloid!) AANJ (All Access Neck Joint) The pickups are DiMarzio Evolution (H-S-H configuration) 5-way selector switch Chrome Hardware (volume & tone knobs, tuners, tremolo) Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo

Details & HistoryHere is a picture of Oz McGuire's (a.k.a. Wizard Oz) Jem 10th anniversary guitar. It is number 680. I'm pleased to find out that he actually records Snake Eyes' albums with this guitar. I imagine many people who own these put them behind glass and they are never played. Just seems wrong. But I can understand the fear of using a guitar so rare and expensive. |
