A Sweet swirl….. I love them when they have all the colours on the front…. And there is some lizard on there…. But not as much as #278 below!  Also a good bit of disguise on the green and red pick-up bobbins

Loads of stuff going on the front and back!!  So hard to get the colours right in pics…. But she is a sweety!!  Darren really excelled himself with the DNAs!

Some zig zag… some swirly patches…. Loads of action…… to cool spots on the back where it looks like it has been cut and red blood and green alien slime is leaking out….. OK OK I’m getting carried away!!

Oh, what a swirl, a real credit to Darren, and one of the very few to feature the ‘lizard’ effect!

Front - It looks like the DNA swirl is being pulled away using the monkey grip, breaking away to expose a GMC, which is breaking away to show a UVMC, and as all the colours break-away it exposes the lizard effect underneath, Only a PMC is missing to make it an Multicolour Grand-Slam (actually I guess there is the pale green, pink and orange – just haven’t found any purple yet!) There’s a good helping of blood there too, and practically every DNA Colour is there.  Other cool features of the swirl are that the middle single coil is camouflaged in the red and the pick-up selector is in the green.  As for the humbuckers, a green swirl meets the top of the green coil at the bridge, out of the bottom of the green coil, under the single and back into the green coil of the neck humbucker.  I love quirks like this!!

Back – The back is the ‘colors floating over the lizard effect’ that is sooooo cool.  I'm really starting to love the orange too.

Edges

Bass edge and horn – Check out the Blood draining down the side and the monkey grip.

Treble edge and horn - More Lizard!!!

Bottom edge – So Cool!! It looks like the colors are draining away down the jack plug leaving the lizard underneath!

A definite contender for one of the best DNAz (even if I am a little bias!!)

Details & History

My name is Isaac Kwon in U.S. I have a DNA with a serial number #158. Since I purchased this instrument some time after its production in 2000, I did not have a wide variety of selection to choose from. I felt that this guitar had the most decent swirl of all the guitars available through Rich at the time.
