Details & History

This guitar plays and sounds amazing. There is a small bit of damage to the back where the previous owner chipped off the clear at the leading edge of the tremelo cover. Other than that, it's mint. That is one spankin paint job.

Details & History

This was the last Jem 2KDNA available in Australia. It had been sitting in a display case at Australis (the Ibanez distributors here in Aus). I went to my guitar store to order a VWH, and found out they had this. I changed my order straight away. :)

Details & History

These guitars are nearly impossible to find. There were only 300 made in the year 2000, and they sold for $4,999.99! This is the model that includes Steve Vai's actual DNA (his blood) mixed in with the paint. How many artist model guitars can actually say that they have this kind of personal link to the artist they represent? This is number 76 from the run of 300, and it is in pristine condition! It and the case have not so much as even a smudge! Comes with a black bag to fit the guitar in (personalized for this model) inside the most beautiful case I've ever owned. Also comes with hang tags and one of the coolest COA's that is like some kind of brushed metal with lettering that changes color when you move it from side to side. This particular guitar has some of the nicest swirling patterns, with a lot of that BLOOD RED coloring. This would be a very nice instrument to stash away in your collection.

Details & History

alright, well, if you are looking at this, I'm sure you have done your research so I don't need to go into great detail. first off, this guitar can't get anymore mint! that kept it locked up in the back room. It is really expensive and very hard to find, if at all anymore. It lists for around $6000 since it is a total collector (Ibanez only made 300) It has an ultra thin neck like the jem7dbk or jem7vdy with a really fast board and gorgeous dna chain inlays on the board. yes Steve Vai's blood is in the paint. this is the best swirl i have seen. most of them have way too much red or pink in them. the colors are very very vibrant and bright. the first photo is the best example of what it looks like. the sunlight really brought out its colors. the pickguard reacts to a black light if you have one. the photo of it in the case is a little darker, as it was taken indoors and I'm not totally happy with that photo. Comes with the Vai 2k dna hard-shell leather case....the entire case is hard reinforced leather, with a soft leather padded handle. has a combo lock with a plate that says dna vai2k, etc etc. inside is purple velvet interior and comes in a "sleeping bag" for the guitar. the guitar is kept inside the soft thick "wool-type" Ibanez black sleeper which goes in the case. the sleeper also says Ibanez jem dna. you can see it hanging over the case in the photo. comes also with a metal engraved plaque that states it is #84 out of 300. there were only 300 made. I have been playing guitar and collecting guitars for about 15 years now and never have I seen one so beautiful. I'm afraid to play it in a sense...it's just so damned beautiful. you won't be disappointed! any other questions on guitars or gear, if any, please e-mail.

This one is mine. The sweetest swirl ever (not that I'm bias). (Yes you are. Ed.) DiMarzio 'The Breed' Pickups just amazing. Darren 'the legend' Johansen at About Time Designs did the paint as on the GMC, PMC and MC's before, but this time the paint also contains a reasonable quantity of Steve Vai's blood, (Any one got access to a cloning machine? Ed.) The neck inlay is a stylized double helix and if that isn't enough, the clear pick guard and parts of the inlay fluoresce. No joke you could spend hours looking deeper and deeper into this finish and still see more. Limited to 300 worldwide, that's less then half the number of JEM10's and 90's this will be a sort after guitar for years to come (You Hope. Ed.) The Price tag is high on this guitar, some will say justifiably, others won't. If you have a large sum of cash burning a hole in your pocket or you just have to have it, I doubt you'd be disappointed.

Want to know how much DNA??? here's a little quote from a reliable source...
"they drained me " they did have a pint of DNA to use, the mix ratio was about 2-3.5 oz. per every 8oz. cup of paint . Each 8 oz cup did about 25-35 guitars so there is quite a bit.

btw. the black light image is not of my guitar.
