Details & History

Picture if you will:

I was new to guitaring, previously had a Charvel that I toddled around on, but work got in the way, so I sold it to someone who would play it regularly, promising that I would get one in six months and start again. 2 years passed before I got myself a cheapie Tanglewood Barretta, started lestons, joined a jam group, which ultimately led to a band.

I'm sitting at home thinking that, as I'm the sole guitar player, one guitar would not be enough. So I call the guy who gave the lessons, "Need a second guitar Dave, got anything decent?" Half an hour later he's round at my house with a black Ibanez RG5 series. Seen better days, but a pro player (Neil Brocklebank) had set it up with the action REALLY low. "This is an Ibanez, one of the best guitars on the market. It will  become your main guitar, of that you can be sure. You ever play anything twee on it, and I will personally come round and kick your arse!"

I gotta say, Man what piece of hardware. Three years later, after several fantastic models passing through my hands, I now have three. The RBM10, not that keen on. The USA Custom Snakeskin IS the one that is the first to be picked up. But my "new" requisition, the Blazer series. Serial number L800364, pictures attached. Not sure which model it is, but hey, it's part of guitar history, and will take it's first gig May 10 2003 in my hands.

I look at the other guitars I have, a Vintage (shit pick-ups, but it is a good piece of wood, so will get soldering iron out one day) a Yamaha (moment of stupidity) and a Les Paul (yuk) and I think to myself there ain't a drug in the world that would make them look hot.

Put an Ibanez in my hands, please.
