Details & History

Hi there,
this is André from Germany.
I found this site by searching for serial numbers, and I was surprised that there is a register - site for Ibanez guitars. I played lots of RG - models, Iceman, JPMs and Vais, but they all have to go when I first got in touch with a Music Man J. Petrucci model. I played this one from the first day I got it (September 2001). But a few weeks ago I saw an advertising of the Andy Timmons model, and I like the sound of A.T. very much, so I thought I should give it a try...
After buying one of those ATs, it blew me away with it´s sound. The tone is unbelievable, the handling is a killer and the features are really well chosen. I knew there must be another one of those, ´cause I like to have always 2 similar guitars on stage... Yesterday I got my second AT300, and it´s just even nearly the same serial number.
The numbers are:
F04 17370
F04 17388
I added a pic showing both, if you like to have more pics just let me know.
Regards,
André

P.S.: The Indian on the guitars is just a sticker, kind of a "trademark"  of my guitars... :-))

Details & History

AT300 - The playability was not much better than my AT100 right out of the box. I bought this one used (3 months old) from a guy on Ebay (you don't know how lucky I was ;D). Unfortunately, Sam Swank no longer does guitar repair. Luckily, the soundman for my band is quite an accomplished luthier. With some rather aggressive adjustments (a fret dressing, many were too low, others were too high), the guitar is slowly becoming a favorite over my AT100. The Mahogany body and direct mounted pickups make this a very "ballsy" guitar over the AT100. Hopefully soon I will meet Andy again and compare the guitar with his.

Have a look at Chris's AT100 as well.
