ST50
Studio Series

SN: N/A YEAR: N/A OWNER: Rex Johnston

Details & History

Hi I guess I would be your second studio st-50 to register. Bought it from ebay this year . beat to hell and missing a tuning peg. I currently have it at Top Shelf Guitars in Milwaukee where Jeff (the master) is doing a major overhaul on it .. more to come..
I have had the hardest time finding the right guitar . You know what I mean. The one guitar that you start playing and immediately feels like a guitar you have played for years. This is the one. I have bought, sold, and traded many guitars and this one will never leave my hands.

thanks, Rex Johnston

Details & History

I want to place my 1979 Ibanez ST-50 (L795998) into your registry.  I have not seen to many of these around.

The story was that I got it at a swap meet just after my entire old rig was stolen from my father's garage where it was in storage.  I lost a American Fender Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose guitar and a Marshall JCM 800.

Anyways, they guy heard my story and sold me this guitar for like $50.  He was asking $300.

The guitar is in good shape.  Few dings on it.  I swapped out the stock pick ups for SD pickups because I wanted a certain tone from it.  I love it, and it has became my main guitar.  I wish I could find another one.  I would love to own 2.

Thanks
Matt Camarco
