I don’t really have any interesting stories about the guitar as I only bought it on Dec 23^rd, I had just finished a lesson ( I’m now in my 14^th month of guitar at the grand old age of 41 ) and had gone into the shop to buy a couple of new picks when I spotted this beautiful piece of art work hanging on the wall, I immediately traded my Ibanez 520EX against it.

The whole package is awesome, and the  build quality is absolutely perfect ( Im a fabrication engineer by trade so build quality is very high on my list) The finish is stunning, with a shine that measures a full 26” deep in artificial light and there are zero flaws in the finish.

Body is “S” style Mahogany with Figured Poplar top and Honey burst finish.

Neck is 5 piece Wizard II Maple with Bubinga racing stripes and 22  Jumbo Frets, Rosewood truss cover and an inlay at the 12^th fret only.

All binding and machine heads are faux Ivory.

Hardware is smoked chrome with ZR Bridge, Gotoh Tuners, and D-Tuner.

The guitar comes in it’s own custom case complete with all hex keys but no truss rod adjusting socket ( these are supplied with Jem and UV ).

Out of the box the action was a little high for me, I had my daughters boyfriend ( lead guitarist of “Thrive”) give the 2075 a good work out and as a result he is looking at Ibanez for his next axe, my guitar tutor Pete Appleyard ( of Appleyard ) has also fallen in love with the 2075 and has asked for first refusal, when I’m ready to let it go.

I understand that there is some confusion as to whether these units are built in Japan or Korea, well all I can say is this, The unit I own was obviously assembled by a group of people who either took pride in what they were doing or were so good at it that they can turn out a 99% perfect job without trying.

Which ever the case, I have a guitar that in the right hands sounds absolutely fantastic, and which would not look out of place on display at an art exhibition.

And they throw in the case for free :-)
