Details & History
This is a 1987 ROADSTAR PRO540R. Serial number F703475. A "redburst"
finish that is almost impossible to photograph, basswood body, 2 piece
maple neck, 22 fret rosewood fretboard, Floyd Rose, 2 IBZUSA stacked
humbuckers and a IBZUSA humbucker in the bridge. (All made by
DiMarzio.) The switches are two on/off for the neck and mid, and a
custom on/off/on for the bridge for hum/off/single coil. The Duosound
push/push switch has been removed and replaced with a 25K tone pot. A
.001 capacitor was added to the volume pot for a bit of brightness
boost when you lower the volume.
This is without a doubt, the finest guitar I have ever owned! True,
"Shadow" is not as pristine as the other Pro540R shown here, but she's
had a life outside of a collection, and she's mine.
