RG770DX |
| SN: N/A | YEAR:N/A | OWNER: Ron |
Details & HistoryI happened upon an unbelievably MINT Ibanez RG770DX in CA (candy apple red.) Whoever bought this one apparently just stuck it away in the closet for the last 13 years or so.

Details & HistoryThese early '90s top-end RG's Simply Rock. The one-piece maple wizard neck is probably the fastest Ibanez have produced. I got my first in about '91-92 as a back-up for my jems, and ended up using it all the time. I have had one on and off since - red ones, blue ones, purple ones. Every time I sell or swap one, I end up buying another. This one is a player, but they just make you play better. This one is from Very early '91. The first batch in early 91 had the original edge, and then it changed to Lo-Pro. I searched hard to find another with the edge, as the edge and original joint just feel right to me. The Ibz/USA Pick-ups were designed and built by DiMarzio and are the only Ibanez Pick-ups I don't need to change for DiMarzios. If you can pick one of these up do it, it will make you a better player! And the Pickguard mounted pups and all the matching bits make them great for swirl projects. I'm fancying Metallic Red, Metallic Blue, Pearlescent White and Metallic Aubergine (egg-plant!!).

Very nice axe in near mint condition. I love these 770DX models. Great tonal variety, super fast neck. The violet metallic ones are a bit harder to find these days.
