Details & History
The body itself is made purely of agathis
(relative to mahogany but lighter). It sports 2 powersound humbuckers
and 1 single coil for the middle, with a standard tremolo, a 5-way
pickup selector, a volume and tone knob. The neck is a bolt-on composed
of all maple with a 2 piece scarf joint at the headstock . The
fretboard has jumbo frets and an all maple fretboard. The tuning pegs
are plain and strat-styled. This guitar is perfect for the musician on a
budget and was marketed pricier than its cousin the EX170 which if
compared to the Rg170,would look almost exactly the same.
