the serial nr of the s540 Japan is F97 43664 And there's also another number on the guitar, REG 1,479,480  there are also 2 new humbuckers on the guitar from Seymour Duncan I don't now the type but there sound GREAT.

J-custom S540-Japan, on of the original 5 J-Custom series. There are either 12 or 24 of these babies. Probably 12, because the used paint was highly toxic. I heard that there was only one person in the entire factory that was willing to paint the guitars.
