Details & History Extremely rare 1985 Ibanez Tele- Axstar (AX-60) made in Japan. This is the rarest of all Axstars made, not even making it to the Ibanez catalogues. Even the Ibanez register has never seen one for real. The sound of this guitar is like that of a telecaster but with more power in the mid-range and less twang. Whether you want to plug this rare baby in for a crunchy blues session or play some rock - this guitar can do it. The guitar itself has crisp highs and reserved bass from its powerful Axstar humbuckers. Body - Basswood |

Details & History When loosening the neck I revealed a rubber stamp identifying this model as an AX-60. No further information, neither in the neck pocket nor under the pickups. There are no stamps or signs on the pickups explaining what type they are. They both got an impedance of around 9,5 kOmhs. As I wrote before they don’t turn this guitar into a metal axe, but give the sound with their crisp highs and reserved bass a real tele-like character with wider midrange than the original. What should I say: it’s exactly that what I was looking for!
